Macrodyne Technologies Inc. has supplied a 2,500 Ton Hydraulic Compression Molding Press for the manufacture of compression molded wood products.

This 2,500 Ton Compression Molding Press was supplied complete with heated tilting platens, rolling bolster, hot oil distribution package and inclinometer package.

The deep, heavy fabricated moving platen is equipped with a single zone tilting hot platen, and features an adjustable, temperature compensated guide arrangement. This arrangement maintains the specified guiding tolerances over a hot platen temperature range of ambient to 500 degrees Fahrenheit.

The rolling bolster runs front to back, and is equipped with a single zone, tilting hot platen as well as locating and clamping arrangements.

The combination of the heavy press frame and moving platen, deep guiding ratio and over sized guiding package offers high eccentric load capability.

Two inclinometers at right angles to each other on the moving platen to allow the monitoring of platen tilt and to allow a fault indication and press stop if tilt exceeds a pre-determined safe value.
