Macrodyne Flying High on Aerospace Industry Sales

Macrodyne Technologies Inc. is pleased to announce a substantial increase in demand for our precisely controlled high temperature hydraulic presses for super plastic forming (SPF) and our hydraulic elastoforming presses for the manufacture of aerospace components.

The aerospace industry continues to develop leading technologies to reduce the weight and performance of aircraft and these technologies require the use of advanced composites or high strength metals such as titanium. The use of these advanced materials requires new precision process control using presses with advanced press control systems.

Macrodyne Super Plastic Forming (SPF) Presses provide the ability to form complex shaped titanium, aluminum and stainless steel components such as engine blades using inert gas forming at high temperatures up to 1800 degrees Fahrenheit.

Our SPF presses are capable of both super plastic forming and hot forming (hot sizing) operations. Accurate and repeatable argon gas pressures and multi-zone temperature control are achieved using our proprietary flexible and repeatable process control system.

Macrodyne Elastoforming Presses provide the ability to rapidly and cost effectively manufacture high precision sheet metal components for aerospace applications.

With our modern elastoforming presses, embossing, bending and trimming operations can occur simultaneously with an unprecedented degree of accuracy, resulting in lower cost, higher quality parts that require no additional deburring or finishing.

Macrodyne Technologies Inc. is a manufacturer of heavy duty hydraulic presses, press lines and die handling equipment used in the manufacture of metal, wood, rubber, plastic/composites and laminate products for a wide variety of applications in the automotive, aerospace, defense, consumer & industrial products sectors.
